I have a short work coming out in Mallorn, which is the newlstter for the Tolkien society. The story started as an exercise in a workshop I took at Hugo House in Seattle (with Charles deLint), and only changed a little before I sent it off to Henry Gee, who is the new editor for Mallorn. It’s not a paying market at this point, but just to be associated with the publication is like tasting the stardust of the gods; Tolkien’s work has given me so much pleasure, over and over, at so many points in my life.
And for those who are interested, the story is a precursor to events that happen in my book, MAYAN DECEMBER (recently finished and still unsold).
