Reading Recommendation: The Man Who Hated Gravity, by Ben Bova

Sometimes science fiction should be a little bit fun.  It isn’t always, which I’m glad of.  I recently wrote a guest post over at sfsignal about how good sf is at warnings.  Which it is.

But some days I’m happy we know how to have fun.  I had a long drive this week, and as usual I listened to Starship Sofa.  As usual, the Sofa was great (if, also as usual, long!).   But it’s worth listening to.  I just loved the Ben Bova story, “The Man Who Hated Gravity.”  It’s not a straight up comedy or anything, but it also doesn’t take itself too seriously.  And being by Bova, it’s well-written.

  1. I think that everything typed was very reasonable.
But, what about this? what if you were to write a killer post title?
I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your website, but what if you added a title to maybe get folk’s attention?
I mean Reading Recommendation: The Man Who Hated Gravity,
by Ben Bova – Brenda Cooper at Brenda Cooper is a little plain.

You might glance at Yahoo’s home page and see how they create article headlines to grab people interested. You might try adding a video or a related picture or two to get people excited about everything’ve written.
Just my opinion, it might make your website a little bit more interesting.

  4. I tend not to write a comment, but after reading a ton of responses here Reading Recommendation: The Man Who
Hated Gravity, by Ben Bova – Brenda Cooper at Brenda Cooper.

I actually do have 2 questions for you if it’s okay. Is it simply me or
does it appear like a few of these comments look like
they are written by brain dead individuals? 😛 And, if
you are writing on additional sites, I would like to follow
everything fresh you have to post. Could you post a list of all of your shared sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or
    linkedin profile?

  6. Wonderful blog! I found it while searching on Yahoo News.
Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo News?
I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!
    Thanks

  7. Adsense is actually a really great program for those who maintain blogs, as blogs get updated
all the time and the Adsense possibilities are almost limitless.
But unfortunately not every request will get approved.

But it seems Memorial Day wasn’t important enough
    to Google.
