Anticipation badges are everywhere. I have mine now, although there was no pro material available so I still have to hunt down my name card and whatever else.Â
We spent the day bicycling to give my ankle a rest – and did in my thighs with 26 kilometers.  On the way we rode by these buildings that we had seen from the revolving restaurant the previous night. There are more pictures of these in the picture set from ride and the rest of the day.Â
Highlights – the biosphere which we rode by but did not get in. The raqpids — very cool and pretty. The park there is basically a beautiful garden, worth visiting. It is about an 8 KM ride from the bicycle rental we used in Old Town. It’s also possible to rent bikes just across the walking bridge form the Atwater Market. The market is very reminiscent of Pike’s Place in Seattle without the fish or the fish throwing or PETA complaining about the throwing of dead fish. 🙂
There were a few parties last night including David Levine and Ellen Klages doing a decent job of on the spot comedy improv.

PS – Thanks for keeping us updated on Worldcon ~ I’ll live vicariously through you for the next few days *grin*.
😉
Isn’t that the Olympic Village? I remember pictures of it from National Geographics past.
It was associated with the World’s Fair…and designed as pre-fab housing and an experiment in making interesting affordable housing. The odd geometry was to create places where no one apartment could look down on the balcony of another. They are now one of the more expensive places to live in Montreal. I have all of this on heresay of course, but most of it from more than one source.
Thanks! I’ll do my best – it might be harder to find time to blog the next few days. They all look busy!
